UPSC CDS eligibility criteria

  • IMA and other Officers Training Academies: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
  • Indian Naval Academy: Engineering degree.
  • Air Force Academy: Degree in any discipline, but must have passed 12th with Physics and Math.

Age Criteria:

  • For IMA: Unmarried male candidates born between July 2, 2001, and July 1, 2006.
  • For Indian Naval Academy: Unmarried male candidates born between July 2, 2001, and July 1, 2006.
  • For Air Force Academy: Candidates should be between 20 to 24 years old as of July 1, 2025.
  • For Officers Training Academy: Unmarried male candidates born between July 2, 2000, and July 1, 2006.

Selection Process:

Candidates will be selected through a written examination and an interview.

Fee Structure:

  • General: тВ╣200
  • SC/ST: Free

Exam Pattern UPSC CDS

  • The exam duration is two hours.
  • Conducted in both English and Hindi.
  • 100 questions in Elementary Maths, 120 questions in General English, and 120 questions in General Knowledge.
  • Each correct answer awards one mark, while one-third mark is deducted for each incorrect answer.
